Oh, hey, Nail & EOTD!

Ooops, it's been over 3 weeks since I updated? Through a series of annoying events, I haven't been able to access Photoshop to edit my blog photos. I have a couple hastily put together, unedited photos for your viewing pleasure(?), in honour of the 74th Annual Hunger Games! I dragged my husband to it earlier today, and despite his inital lack of enthusiasm, we both enjoyed the movie. Where can I get some fiery dresses? Anyway...

Seche Clear Base Coat
China Glaze 'Harvest Moon'
China Glaze 'Luxe and Lush' over China Glaze 'Smoke and Ashes' (ring finger)
China Glaze Fast Foward Top Coat

I really love China Glaze's Capitol Colors collection! Harvest Moon is such an awesome copper, and I don't even usually like orange tones. Smoke and Ashes could be worn on its own; it has blue-green sparkle and is opaque in one coat. I paired it with Luxe and Lush, an amazing flakie that I pretty much want to coat myself in. OK.. maybe not, but it's definitely one of the best polishes in this collection, in my opinion. You can see swatches of the other colors on this blog!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Shiro Cosmetics 'Triumph' (as liner)
e.l.f. Studio Eye Primer & Liner Sealer (to line)
Benefit BadGal Lash

This look was a tribute (get it? get it? har, har) to Cinna, who wears simple gold eyeliner, in contrast to the elaborate, excessive looks of other Capitol citizens. Cinna is easily my favourite character in the Hunger Games series, as he is pretty much the only rational, calm and collected individual throughout. I thought Lenny Kravitz did a good job portraying him, and I'm so glad they kept the eyeliner!

I hope to be up and blogging more regularly soon. I have so much to swatch, take pictures of, edit, and review. I hope you all enjoyed my looks, HG fans or not! Let me know what you think about them and the blog. I love feedback!
